A Successful First Trip
Posted October 29, 2013
on:Independent Ski Racing’s first trip of the 2013 season is in the books! We spent two weeks of October in Europe preparing for the World Cup opener in Solden, Austria. During those two weeks I got my first powder day of the season and had amazing training on both the race hill in Solden and on injected snow on a slope called the Ice Box; thank you to the U.S. Ski Team for including me in those days of training! I worked hard this summer to prepare myself and my program for the winter and I am happy with how things are progressing. Each day of skiing I got faster and more comfortable. I missed qualification in Solden by .57 hundredths of a second and will be headed to Colorado for a month of training to find that time before Beaver Creek!
Here are some pictures of my European journey……
As always, donations toward my journey are very much appreciated!
Eight credit hours aced at Westminster college + Funds for ski racing raised + Six pounds of muscle gained + Equipment dialed on winter snow + Technician/manager Pat Andrews hired + 52 days on-snow including my first coaching experiences at the Ligety/Weibrecht camp and Keely’s Camp for Girls and a Trip to New Zealand = Can’t wait for ski season!
Thank you to all of my friends, family, sponsors and the donors who made this progress possible!!!
This is a photo update of my summer break through my favorite pics……great times……..

A little “friendly” competition in Mt Hood, Cody on the blue course and me on the red! #ligetyweibrecht13
“It’s impossible.” said pride.
“It’s risky.” said experience.
“It’s pointless.” said reason.
“Give it a try.” whispered the heart.
As always, donations toward my journey are very much appreciated!
