A Successful First Trip

Independent Ski Racing’s first trip of the 2013 season is in the books!  We spent two weeks of October in Europe preparing for the World Cup opener in Solden, Austria.  During those two weeks I got my first powder day of the season and had amazing training on both the race hill in Solden and on injected snow on a slope called the Ice Box; thank you to the U.S. Ski Team for including me in those days of training!  I worked hard this summer to prepare myself and my program for the winter and I am happy with how things are progressing.  Each day of skiing I got faster and more comfortable.  I missed qualification in Solden by .57 hundredths of a second and will be headed to Colorado for a month of training  to find that time before Beaver Creek!
